Crack Gauge Monitoring

Structural cracks can manifest in buildings of any material or age. They are a common concern in construction and require effective monitoring for safety and maintenance.

One method for monitoring cracks is the installation of "telltale" crack gauges, as specified in job requirements. In some cases, it's prudent to consider wireless crack gauges. These advanced devices provide real-time data on the natural expansion and contraction of cracks. Wireless monitors can be a cost-effective solution when a site requires frequent checks or when cracks are structurally sensitive. They offer real-time data and minimize the need for manual inspections, ultimately saving time and resources.

During the preconstruction survey process, Protectonic identifies critical points in the construction and establishes a crack monitoring log.
